Vintage Boar Tusk and Natural Seed Pod Necklace

Twelve genuine wild boar tusks, curved and aged to a deep warm cream, strung on hard natural seed pods that have darkened beautifully over time. This is a handmade piece. Every element of it is natural and intentional. The tusks range from approximately one inch to three inches. The wear on the tusks and the deep natural darkening of the seed pods are consistent with a piece of considerable age. Based on materials and construction, this necklace is believed to be at least 75 years old and quite possibly much older. Wild boar tusk is not ivory and carries no legal restrictions. Every material in this necklace is fully legal to own and sell in the United States. The seed pods are hard-shelled with visible inner cavities and a dried seed or pit inside each one, consistent with tropical hardshell seeds used in traditional adornment across many cultures. The necklace measures approximately 23 to 24 inches and is finished with a knotted closure rather than a clasp. The original string is intact. The exact cultural origin of this piece has not been confirmed, and we will not pretend otherwise. Condition is good.
